Journey Church is led with a family mindset. Whether you are a child, grandmother, busy mom, or businessman, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Listed below are some of our specific ministries that we’d love you to get connected with!
Every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. join us as we take a journey through the Bible. From early college age to late adulthood this is a great midweek Bible study for adults. Come prepared to learn and have good discussion.
Psalm 1:1-2 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lordand who meditates on his law day and night.

Crossfire Student Ministries

Teenagers starting in grade 6 through young adults can join us on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 p.m.  The night usually consists of hanging out, snacks, games, a message with discussion, and a time of prayer. The youth also participate in different outings and mission projects.

The years of adolescence come with many trials and struggles. Teenagers are faced with questions like, “Where do I fit in?”, “Who am I?” “What am I good at?” “What do others think of me?” This time is crucial for each individual student to start figuring out who they want to be and where they belong. Crossfire provides a safe environment where teens can feel accepted and supported while answering these questions. We are a caring group that will help guide students through this messy and difficult time of adolescence all while pointing to Christ as our ultimate example. Journey Church fully supports our youth ministry because our youth are our future!  1 Timothy 4:12: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

Sign your teenager up for One Step 2019! One Step is a youth retreat geared toward taking a step closer to Christ. The retreat is completely free. It is from July 26-28th. For more info go to the “Events” page of this website. There is also a registration form there for your student.

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Journey Church holds a Kidzone service in conjunction with the main service every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles.

Luke 18:15-17: “People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.

Women of Destiny

Our Women’s Ministry seeks to empower women of all ages. We have times of Bible study, prayer, food, and friendship. These gatherings provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in our area.          We also participate in different service projects and retreats. Our goal is to create unity among us so we can be strong women of God grounded in the Bible.

Psalm 31:25-30: “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.”

Our men’s ministry is set up to encourage and strengthen each other through the Bible and prayer. We hold special times to meet for Bible study, prayer, food, and fellowship. It is important for us as men to form a strong bond with one another through Christ.

Psalm 1:1-3: “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”

Jesus told us to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Journey Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Here at Journey Church we are active in sending missionaries and supporting them financially and through our prayers. We are currently assisting in the support of four missionaries and one of our local non-profit organizations. For more information on Assemblies of God missions go to and click on “Missions”.

Matthew 28:18-20: Then Jesus came to them and said,”All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

We are excited for the launch of our new ministry to those who are not able to come to church for various reasons. Journey Church understands that there are men and women of God that are in nursing homes or not able to travel outside of their own residences. This ministry provides home visits from different church staff & members, phone calls to check in, and delivery of care packages. If they can’t come to the church building, we will bring the church to them.

Galations 6:10: “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”

Intercessory Prayer Ministry

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Journey Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. we come together to prayer over the service and our ministries. Our Intercessory Prayer Team has an e-mail chain that allows us to send prayer requests as they come in.

James 5:13-16: “Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
